I stood by your bed last night
I came to have a peep,
I could see that you were crying
and you found it hard to sleep,
I whispered to you softly
as you brushed away a tear,
its me I havn't left you, i'm well
i'm fine, i'm here,
I was close to you a breakfast
I watched you pour your tea,
you were thinking of the many times
your hands reached out to me,
I was with you at the shops today
you're arms were getting sore,
I longed to take your parcels
I wish I could do more,
I was with you at my grave today
you tend it with such care,
I want to reassure you, that i'm not
lying there,
I walked with you towards the house
as you fumbled for your key,
I gently put my hand on you
I smiled and said 'its me'
you looked so very tired
and sank into a chair,
I tried so hard to let you know
that I was standing there,
its possible for me to be
so near to you every day,
to say to you with certainty
I never went away,
you sat there very quietly then smiled
I think you knew,
in the stillness of the evening
I was very close to you,
now the day is over.....I smile
and watch you yawning,
and say good night, god bless,
i'll see you in the morning,
and when the time is right for you
to cross the brief divide,
i'll rush across to greet you
and we'll stand side by side,
I have so many things to show you
there is so much for you to see,
be patient, live your journey out
then come home to be with m

HI DAD XXX

Hi dad, just thought i'd pop in to tell you the latest gossip angel, well Andrews mother had to go to hospital yesterday coz she fell and cut her head and she had to have stitches so as it was a nice sunny day today Andrew took Paige down to see her,he walked down and Paige was in her pram,i told him it would keep him fit and he was nearly on his knees when he got home dad lol,Paige enjoyed the ride though:o) Paige is much better now dad,i don't know why i'm telling you this dad coz i know your looking over her anyway xx Andrew has got the new job that he went for so we are all pleased for him dad and it's a change from the Inland Revenue coz he worked there for 18years long time in it but he will still be doing more paperwork and he will be working the hours he wants to do so he can spend more time with Paige and the rest of us so that's brill dad.Jeff phoned from spain and they were all going to come over for a visit but he had to cancel last minute dad coz his best mate out in spain just found out he had cancer and the poor bloke has not got long left to live so i feel for his family dad as i know how they all feel:o( Jeff said he will come over to see us all this year and he has told us all that anytime we want a free holiday pop on the plane,i think Paige would love that coz she loves aeroplanes but i'm not fussed on flying as you know dad.Next year we want to take her to Disney land dad coz she will be older then so that will be fun for her.Anthony and his family are ok too dad,you never got to meet Jackie but she is lovely,then again she has the same name as me dad so wot do you expect lol xxx Mam and all the rest of your lovely family are ok too angel so don't you worry there ok sweetheart.Well dad i'm going to send you all my love and say night night coz i'm off to bed in a bit ok dad xxxx Love and miss you loads dad as always xxxxxx Yr loving daughter Jackie xxxxxxxx

I try to be strong for others around
